DWC (Deep Water Culture)

Deep Water culture (DWC) is a simple, yet effective method of hydroponic growing. It is considered by many to be the purest form of hydroponic culture. With this technique, the roots are completely submerged in nutrient enriched water. The water is aerated with air pumps and air stones in order to prevent the roots from suffocating. A pump is sometimes added to larger systems to allow the water to circulated around a group of deep water culture systems but is not required for smaller systems (this is referred to as "current culture"). Connecting multiple deep water culture systems allow better control over the water temperature, nutrient ppm, and pH. DWC is a powerhouse for promoting root growth and massive root balls can easily be achieved using this method.

We offer a variety of pre-fabricated deep water culture systems as well as the buckets and air pumps needed to design your own system. Our experts are ready to answer any questions you may have on getting started with DWC! Contact Now.
